Basix - NSW's Building Sustainability Index

Basix, or the Building Sustainability Index, is an NSW Government planning measure aimed at reducing household electricity and water use by setting minimum sustainability targets for new and renovated homes. This program identifies design features that affect the likely levels of thermal comfort and water and energy use per household, such as location, building size, orientation, construction type, landscaping, and fixtures.
